Disaster Relief
Responding with Love: Disaster Relief Seva
In times of natural calamities, Sai Centres across Australia come together swiftly, offering disaster relief as a sacred duty. In response to recent events—including flooding in Hawkesbury, Lismore, and other regional parts of New South Wales, cyclone damage in Brisbane, Ipswich, Moretan Bay, Logan and Murwillumbah and the earthquake / volcanic eruption in Tonga—volunteers have extended heartfelt support to affected communities through the distribution of essential supplies, food, and care packages. Guided by the principle of selfless service, these efforts are carried out with compassion, humility, and a deep sense of unity, ensuring that those impacted feel supported and not alone in their time of need.
Beyond immediate relief, this seva reflects resilience, hope, and the spirit of standing together as one human family. It serves as a reminder that in moments of adversity, love in action becomes a source of strength and healing, truly embodying Swami’s message that service to humanity is the highest form of worship.
