Temple Cleaning
Purifying Spaces with Devotion, Humility, and Unity
Volunteers come together annually to serve at temples such as the Sydney Ayyappa Temple, Wentworthville, helping to clean and maintain the premises so that these spiritual spaces remain pure, serene, and welcoming for all devotees. Every act—whether sweeping, washing, or organising—is performed with the awareness that serving in the temple is itself an act of worship, reflecting the principle that work done with love becomes prayer. This seva also serves as a reminder of inner purification, inspiring participants to cultivate humility, discipline, and selflessness. Members of all age groups, including Young Adults and families, join hands in unity, transforming collective effort into a spiritual experience. Through temple cleaning seva, volunteers not only care for sacred spaces but also nurture a deeper connection with the Divine, embodying Swami’s teaching that true devotion is expressed through selfless service.
