Day 1

On Saturday, 31 October 2026, the NSW Region of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia came together for the sacred Rudra Ekadasini, held at Durga Temple, Regents Park, NSW. The auspicious ceremony was conducted by Sri Veda Narayanan Sir, bringing devotees together in an atmosphere of deep devotion, reverence and spiritual unity.

The day commenced with Anujna, Vigneshwara Pooja and Maha Sankalpam, followed by Mahanyasa and Kalasa Prathishta. The temple resonated with the powerful vibrations of Vedic chanting as devotees participated in the Ekadasa Rudra Parayanam and Rudra Abhishekam. The sacred chanting of Sri Rudram, offered eleven times in worship of Lord Shiva, created a spiritually uplifting atmosphere, inspiring devotees to turn inward and experience the peace and sanctity of collective prayer.

The afternoon continued with Homam, followed by Poornahuti, Kalasa Abhishekam and Punar Pooja. The programme concluded with devotional Bhajans and Mangala Arathi, bringing the sacred proceedings to a blissful close.

The occasion served as a beautiful reminder of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's emphasis on the transformative power of Vedic chanting, devotion and selfless surrender. With hearts filled with gratitude, devotees offered the sacred prayers at His Divine Lotus Feet, seeking His blessings to lead lives guided by love, righteousness and the spirit of “Karishye Vachanam Tava – I shall do as You say.”
