More than 230 seniors from 25 ethnic communities attended our Annual Seniors Christmas Celebrations in Blacktown Sydney today.

The city of Blacktown, the 4th largest council in Australia, is one of Australia's most culturally diverse cities with residents coming from 188 countries and they speak 182 languages.

The celebrations was opened by Mayor Tony Blesdale of Blacktown City and in his Christmas message spoke about the need for cultural harmony and peace and the important role Seniors play in our families and societies. He was joined by Edmond Atalla, Member of the New South Wales Parliament and Councillors Julie Griffiths and Moninder Singh from Blacktown City Council.

He also thanked our organisation for its generous contribution in supporting the program.
