Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia Honored by NSW Aboriginal Land Council for Exemplary Service

A commendable journey of dedication and community service has led the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia to be honored by the New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council (NSWALC) Central Region for its remarkable contributions to the Aboriginal Communities of Western New South Wales.

The recognition celebrates the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia's outstanding commitment to Aboriginal communities in Western New South Wales over the last 2 years. This recognition comes in the wake of the Organisation’s unwavering support which became even more pronounced after the dire need for urgent food and emergency supplies after a major flooding last year.

With a profound focus on community service, the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia has diligently worked to support Aboriginal communities in Western New South Wales. The recognition from the NSWALC highlights the pivotal role the Organisation has played in fostering positive change and addressing the unique needs of the Aboriginal communities. The dedication of our members is fully underscored by the provision of over 1,000 winter packs, each containing essentials such as beanies, socks, blankets, and hot water bottles. Earlier this year, our members drove over 2,600 KMs over 3 days to deliver 700 winter packs to remote Aboriginal communities. This community service not only warms bodies during the winter but also warms hearts by demonstrating the strength of compassion and collective action.

The geographical focus on Western New South Wales, which is over 750 KMs one way from Sydney highlights the concerted effort to address the specific challenges faced by Aboriginal communities in this region. Often dealing with unique socio-economic circumstances, these communities benefit immensely from such collaborations that provide targeted assistance. By working closely with the NSWALC, the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council Australia has shown the power of collaborative solutions in making a tangible difference.

We dedicate this Special Recognition by the NSWALC to our dearest Swami’s Lotus Feet and are truly grateful to all our members and volunteers who tirelessly serve the community across Australia and embrace “Love All Serve All”. This Award is for all our members across Australia.
